Company overview
A fairer home for emerging creators.
A concise look at the problem, the product, the business model and how we approach safety and compliance — written for partners, programme reviewers and early supporters.
The problem
Small creators are under-served
Independent musicians, illustrators, teachers and writers often have a small but devoted audience. The big platforms optimise for reach, not for the relationship — and income depends on ads, brand deals or an algorithm they don't control. Existing membership tools tend to be built for established names, and the best-known “fan subscription” products are strongly associated with adult content, which makes many creators and fans uncomfortable and limits who will use them.
The solution
FanSee: direct support, safely
FanSee is a subscription-based social platform where creators sell — and fans buy — original content. Creators earn through memberships, pay-per-view posts and tips. We take a flat 10% and ban sexually explicit material, so the platform is straightforward to recommend, to bank with and to partner with.
Business model
We earn when creators earn
- Platform fee: 10% of every membership, unlock and tip. Payment-processing costs are passed through at cost.
- Recurring by design: memberships renew monthly, which gives creators — and us — predictable revenue.
- Future services: optional creator tools (bundles, promotion, merchandise partnerships) once the core marketplace is proven.
Product status

Trust & compliance
Designed for UK regulation from day one
- Online Safety Act 2023: as a user-to-user service we maintain a content policy, user reporting, a moderation queue and an illegal-content risk-assessment process. Read more.
- UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018: data minimisation, a clear privacy policy, data export and deletion tools.
- PECR: we use only strictly necessary cookies — no advertising or analytics trackers.
- Consumer law: clear pricing, easy cancellation and plain-English terms and refund rules.
- Payments: card details are handled by a regulated payments partner; FanSee never stores them.
